The Ins and Outs of Toilet Paper
Getting the job done, is sometimes easier said
By Sandra Lewis

For the guest bath, I buy rolls of Angel Soft MD toilet paper decorated with the green-stemmed little pink flowers. Two days ago I tried to unglue the end of a new roll. It was so stubborn that I had to get my scissors to cut through several layers in order to get the paper to roll. Carefully I put the roll back into the holder so that the paper would properly flow over the roll, (Miss Manners says it works better than under the roll).

A few days ago, when I went to use this fine tissue the paper was flowing under the roll. Horrors! Since I'm one of two residents, and the other person didn't touch the roll, it led me to believe we've got an uninvited guest living with us. Regardless, I quickly re-did the roll and righted this wrong.

Yesterday, when I again went to use the tissue I was shocked to find that the tissue looked pale and almost without any design. Low and behold I discovered that the flowers were on the wrong side!

When I used the tissue today, I noticed that the flowers that were previously on the outside of the inner layer, now seemed pale again. I separated the upper and inner layer of the TP and this time the flowers had reversed to the inside of the inner layer. My surprise later today was finding the flowers on the outside of the upper layer...in the correct position!

I don't know if I'll ever get to the bottom of this "over the top" experience. On all fronts (and backs, too), however, big business will tell you that it's getting the job done that counts.
