Agency Tawk
by Rosie Phlack

Well its that time of the month again, and Rosie has received a tearoom full of tasty tidbits from professionals who have been busy relating to the public. Lets get started, shall we dahling…

Anyone who hasn’t visited www.whackaflack.com should stop by and see if they are immortalized on this PR bash boutique. The Weber Group found its 15 seconds of fame here - sadly, the specific offending TWG office wasn’t named, but one can only wonder. Speaking of Web folly, the Coates Kokes agency has hired someone with the title of "e-pro", surely an indication that they are making up their Internet strategy as they go along.

And the PR shop-a-thon continues - feet on the street are telling Rosie that Waggener Edstrom is next in line - not to buy, but rather to be bought. Waggener Edstrom Edelman would certainly be a mouthful though wouldn’t it?

Rosie had the pleasure of spending a lovely evening on the Rose City’s waste-filled waterway at the Pint cruise last month. As the saying goes, "loose lips sink ships," but that didn’t stop Rosie from overhearing about the local Portland chapter of PRSA being in dire straits. Could it be that a mutiny of the Board is in the making?

On the media side, Ms. Phlack hears that Miss Carol Jensen will be off the airwaves by the time you read this, due to her contract not being renewed at KGW. I’m sure some enterprising PR shop would love to add a boob tube beauty to their roster. Oh my, that’s all for now, but if you have a sweet morsel to share, whisper it into Rosie’s ear at rosie@anvil-media.com. Subscribe Contact Us About Anvil Anvil Archives Anvil Home
